Live sessions on Zoom
Twelve two-hour evening sessions working through board-style questions across the content outline. Every session is recorded and posted to your course page.
Office hours
Every other week with the instructors, for questions, cases, and anything the sessions did not cover.
Question bank
Five-option board-style questions with an explanation for every choice, and a timed mode that matches the exam's pace.
Study groups and Discord
Opt in and we place you in a small group by availability and commitment level, with a private channel and voice room in the cohort Discord.
Board-certified instructors
Taught by geneticists certified by the ABMGG in clinical genetics and in laboratory genetics and genomics.

400+ concepts across all 11 domains and 115 subdomains of the ABMGG General Exam content outline.

- What if I miss a session?
Every session is recorded and posted to your course page. Recordings and the question bank stay available until the access date listed above.
- Do I have to attend live?
No. Live attendance gets you the polls and the discussion; the recording covers the rest.
- Does this cover the subspecialty exams?
The course is built for the General Exam, which every candidate sits. Much of the clinical and laboratory content carries over, but the subspecialty exams are not the target.
- I took this course before. Do I register again here?
No. Returning students re-register from their dashboard, and we email prior participants directly when that opens.
- Can my program or department pay?
Yes. Programs and departments that want to cover a group can email us for an invoice. Email daniel@studyrare.com.
